Administrative Professionals Day
Wednesday, April 23rd is Administrative Professionals Day! Thank you to Sharyn Tormanen, Holly Caldwell, Maureen Dickey, Clare LaLonde, and Mary Eichler! This incredible team goes above and beyond each day to support our students, staff, and families. Their kindness, flexibility, and dedication make a huge difference in our school. We are grateful for all they do every single day!
M-STEP Calendar
This spring, Michigan is administering its required state assessment to all 3rd- 5th graders. At Three Fires, some testing has already started. Here's a reminder of the remaining testing dates:
5th Grade: April 22nd, 23rd
4th Grade: April 28th, 30th
3rd Grade: April 29th, May 1st
Thank you for helping your child be ready by making sure they get a good night’s sleep and avoiding scheduling appointments on testing days.
Yearbooks - Orders due April 20th
Yearbooks are $8 this year and can be ordered online at Yearbook Orders, using Yearbook ID 12175225. Orders are due by April 20, 2025. There will not be any extra yearbooks available beyond those that are ordered.
Junior Survivor Update
Thank you for supporting Liam Fergus and Team “Knock on Wood” during today’s Hat Day! We’re proud to have both Liam and Lucy Fairbanks representing Three Fires in this year’s Senior Survivor event. They’re raising money for The Ivy Table, a nonprofit that helps fight hunger. Coin challenge buckets for each team are set up in the office—students can bring in coins using the envelopes sent home and choose which team to support. Don't forget—Friday, April 25 is Pajama Day! Wear your coziest PJs and bring $1 to support Lucy and Team “MagDog.”
Howell Public Schools State of the District Address To Be Held April 24
Superintendent Erin J. MacGregor, Ed.D., will host the 2025 State of the District Address on Thursday, April 24, at 6 p.m. in the Edinburg Room at the Howell Public Schools administrative offices. During the event, MacGregor will celebrate the district’s accomplishments, share exciting updates on programs and initiatives supporting future ready students, and provide progress reports on projects funded by the 2023 Our Kids, Our Community, Our Future bond. All families, staff, students, and community members are invited to attend.
Senior Survivor Carnival is Friday, April 25
Howell Public Schools will kick off Senior Survivor 2025 with the always-popular Senior Survivor Carnival on Friday, April 25, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Field House. The event will feature games, entertainment, inflatables, raffles, arts and crafts, and more. Admission is $10 for children aged 3 to 18; adults and children 2 and under are free. Proceeds support the fundraising efforts of Senior Survivor, which officially begins Sunday, April 27, as 14 seniors compete to raise the most money for this year’s charity, The Ivy Table. This local nonprofit is tackling food insecurity by rescuing surplus food and turning it into ready-to-eat meals, which are distributed through community fridges and served at a new pay-it-forward café. Highlander Robotics Open House – April 28
Come explore the world of robotics at the Highlander Robotics Open House on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Parker Commons! Families and students in grades K-12 are invited to see our robotics programs in action, with robots on display and team members available to answer questions. Interest forms will also be available for those who want to learn more about joining a team.
