Unified Champion Schools
On May 10, our Unified Champion Schools (UCS) team joined Challenger’s UCS team at the Howell High School football field to play disc golf and cornhole. A Unified Champion School is an inclusive school program that promotes social inclusion through intentionally planned and implemented activities affecting systems-wide change, fostering collaboration between students with and without intellectual disabilities. The day kicked off with the national anthem and an official announcement of each team’s name over the field’s sound system. The cheers were bountiful, the weather was perfect, and the students had so much fun!
Girls on the Run Mock 5K
Our Annual Girls on the Run Mock 5K event on May 9 was a testament to resilience and positivity. Despite the rain, our students, coaches, and volunteers embraced the "Is So Much Fun" mentality of Girls on the Run. The race was filled with cheers, words of encouragement, high fives, hugs, and pure joy. Congratulations to all the students who participated and a special thank you to our dedicated coaches and volunteers who made this event a success. Please wish our Girls on the Run team the best of luck as they complete their final 5K culminating race this Sunday.

Holly Pressel's Retirement
We are announcing the retirement of Holly Pressel, our beloved 1st and 2nd-grade teacher, after 30 years of dedicated service. Holly began her journey as a special education teacher and later transitioned into her current role, where she has excelled in classroom management and student engagement. Known as the "student whisperer," Mrs. Pressel’s commitment to her students and their families has made a lasting impact. We will miss her dearly and wish her all the best in her retirement.
