The Timberwolf Times - October 6, 2023

Thank You for Your Support of Timberwolf Color Trek

Our first attempt at a school-wide color run was an outstanding success, and it wouldn't have been possible without the amazing support from parents like you.  The joy and excitement on the faces of our students were heartwarming, and it was clear that everyone had an unforgettable time.  A special acknowledgement goes out to our dedicated PTO and volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure the event ran smoothly.  It was great to see so many families in attendance, cheering on our runners as they navigated the colorful course.  We are fortunate to have such an engaged and supportive group of parents, and we look forward to more successful and enjoyable events in the future.

Vote November 7

On Tuesday, November 7, our community will vote on the Our Kids, Our Community, Our Future Bond Proposal. If approved, the bond proposal would provide $258 million for improvements to our district, with approximately $7.2  million for our school, while expecting to maintain the current tax rate of 5.5 mills. Please take a few minutes to visit https://bit.ly/3KTY7Ce to learn about the upgrades Three Fires would see if the bond is approved. To learn more about the bond proposal, please visit HowellSchools.com/Bond. Please remember to vote on November 7 on the Our Kids, Our Community, Our Future Bond Proposal.

Important Drop-Off Reminders

We appreciate your ongoing patience during our morning drop-off routine. To ensure a safe and efficient process, please have your child and their belongings ready upon entering the school driveway. If possible, remain in your vehicle, and allow your child to exit from the passenger side.  If assistance is needed, signal our teachers, who will gladly help with doors and backpacks. After dropping off your child, please wait for the cars in front to exit, avoiding attempts to pass as it poses a danger to students.  As you bid your child farewell, remind them to walk on the designated wolf paws on the sidewalk. Once cars are released, kindly pull away from the curb, providing our students with more space.

Halloween Parade and Costumes

Our annual Halloween parade is scheduled for 10 AM on October 31st, weather permitting. In case of rain, we'll move the parade indoors, inviting parents to watch from the gym.  Students are invited to wear school-appropriate Halloween costumes to school that day. Please adhere to the guidelines: no masks, gore, face paint, or weapons. Costume accessories resembling weaponry are not allowed. Inappropriate costumes will need to be removed.

Trunk or Treat Volunteers – Your Help Needed!

We're just one week away from our Trunk or Treat on October 13, 6 - 8 PM at the Three Fires Bus Lot. We're thrilled with the response so far, but we're still in need of 10 more trunks to make this event a success.  Can we count on you to host a trunk or contribute a bag of candy? Your creativity will light up the night for our students. Click here to sign up!  For trunk decorators, arrive at the bus parking lot (back lot off Latson Road) by 5:40 PM to set up. The entrance closes at 5:55 PM for safety.  Remember, costumes should be elementary appropriate—no gore or weapons!  See you there, and don't forget to support the 5th grade class by enjoying hot chocolate and pizza.
