The Positivity Project

Three Fires is excited to continue our partnership with the Positivity Project (P2). This non-profit organization equips schools with resources to help build positive relationships and empower students to become their best selves. According to research, building strong character-based relationships is the cornerstone of health, happiness, and resilience.  P2 has a parent resource at https://posproject.org/p2-for-families/.  For families wanting resources in Spanish, please find resources here: https://posproject.org/p2-para-familias-espanol/  Parent resources are password protected. Use P2 (case sensitive) to access these resources. The goal is to provide an easy and effective way for families to discuss the importance of character strengths and positive relationships at home. All classrooms use P2 lessons during class meetings each day.

ParentGuidance.org Provides Free Resources for Families

Thanks to the Livingston Educational Service Agency, all families in Livingston County continue to have free access to many resources through ParentGuidance.org. As we get back into the school year routine, below are two helpful resources. School is back in session, and new routines are being established. Now that your child has been equipped with new school clothes and supplies, learn steps parents can take to prepare your child to navigate peer pressure. The September Mental Health Newsletter (English) (Spanish) talks about the power parental influences have on your child as you set clear expectations, encourage education and healthy friendships, and become a role model to your child.  If you are looking for more information on how you can support your child’s mental health, check out ParentGuidance.org resources, where you can access free courses led by licensed therapists on more than 50 topics.
