Howell Public School Teacher of the Year - Jill Cain
Congratulations to our very own Mrs. Jill Cain for being named the 2020-21 Howell Public Schools Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Cain was surprised with this honor Wednesday morning by her students, district administration, Three Fires staff, and her husband. Mrs. Cain was selected for this award because of her caring nature and her willingness to go the extra mile to support all students. Congratulations, Mrs. Cain! The Pack is Proud! 81 Howell teachers were nominated for this award. We had 11 Three Fires teachers receive nominations this year. We also had 8 dedicated support staff from Three Fires nominated for Support Person of the Year. Thank you for taking the time to recognize our staff.
No School on Monday
Please remember that there is no school on Monday, February 15, in honor of President’ Day. Following previous long-weekends, we have had an increase in the number of students who test positive for COVID-19 based on exposures outside of the school setting. As we head into this long weekend, please remind your students that they should be following best public health practices such as frequent hand washing, wearing a mask when in public, practicing social distancing when possible, avoiding large and indoor social gatherings, and staying home when not feeling well.

School Begins at 8:50 AM
As of late, it seems like a lot of students are being dropped off after 8:50 AM. If you drive your child to school you can start dropping your child off at 8:35 AM. After 8:50 AM, the kiss-n-go lane is closed (staff are no longer present). If a staff member is not present at the circle drive, that means that the main entrance has been locked. Please park and sign your child in at the main office. Students are considered tardy if they are signed in from 8:51 - 9:50 AM.
