Dear Three Fires Families:
It is with great pleasure that we write this letter to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year! The first day of school, August 26th, is a full day for BK through 5th grade students from 8:50 a.m. until 3:40 p.m.
If we have not had the opportunity to meet, we would like to introduce ourselves. My name is Bob Starkey, and I am the principal at Three Fires. I live in the Howell community along with my wife, Jennifer, our eight year old son, Jude, and our 3 year old son, Axel. In my 19 years with Howell Public Schools, I have had the opportunity to work as a high school special education teacher, student council adviser, high school dean of students, middle school assistant principal, and elementary school principal.
My name is Angie Tyrpak, and I am the Student Services Advisor at Three Fires. My husband, Chris, and I live in Howell with our 8th grade daughter and 10th grade son. We are proud to be Howell Highlanders! I have been a teacher for 15 years in the Allen Park, Walled Lake, and Howell school districts. As a Student Services Advisor, my job is to help students to make positive choices through PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) as well as working to develop programs to meet the educational, physical, and social needs of our students. I am excited to return to Three Fires Elementary again this school year!
Building Hours and Class Lists
Our main office is now open. Class lists will be posted on Friday, August 16th at 8 a.m. These will continue to be posted through the Open House date. For privacy reasons, class lists will be posted inside the building and cannot be photographed.
Open House Dates and Times
This year we will be hosting our open house for students in first through fifth grades on Wednesday, August 21 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Our Begindergarten and Kindergarten open house will be held on Thursday, August 22 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
